If he means anything to you, this shouldn't even be a question.
Of course you should try to wait for him, and if you find you can't, you have to tell him ahead of time. I'm a military man, so I've sacrificed a lot of relationships for my job, and I know what it's like to have to go away for months at a time hoping to god that the girl you left behind will be there when you get back. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't, and it kills you.
If you really care about him, wait for him. If you don't, end it before he leaves.

Sorry but after 3 months do ya really know him.???? i think 6 months is along time to wait after such a short time but only you can answer this question..good luck

well i only met my boyfriend 4 months before i moved to another country and now we have been together 4 a year and five months everyone says it will never work but he made his feelings clear that he wants to be with me and i want to be with him.......
its not easy though especially when u call and he is not there all u have to realise if u do want to stay with him is that its up to u never the other person.....if u want it to work then make it make ur true feelings clear and trust him.........if it does end then at liest u tried.......and rem dont listen to ur friends if its good of bad they might have u in mind but that only makes things harder for u...

I say you should break up. When he comes back he may be different. You should break up, and stay in touch. When he gets back, see if it makes sense to try dating again (which is what you would be doing anyway).
It's always better to have options than to not have options.

yeah,you should be patient and wait for him,cuz for ur information,i've separated with my boyfriend which we juz being couple for 2 weeks,that had make me sad,but..i know and i am very sure that he will be back soon,and im going to wait for him....im telling u this b'cuz,i want u to wait for him,if...IF U LOVE HIM....

nope, distant relationships don't work. and most people far away from each other will cheat anyways. (esp. Military guys)
