No. Sounds like you're close to the perfect weight. If you want, you could do some sit-ups or crunches to firm up your abs, and jog or jump rope to help your thighs.

No, you are not. You are barely escaping being too thin. But then, you knew that. There's some other reason why you ask. I mean, how could you not know that very few people who don't look sick weigh less than you do? Look around you, let alone looking at insurance company charts about "normal" weight for your height.

I always wonder about this. Here I am, morbidly obese, trying to see myself as normal enough not to be loathsome, and I wonder about people like you. Are you mocking those of us who cannot imaging being so small? Are you contemplating making an anorexic scarecrow of yourself? Do you have some unrealistic idea that you will be more attractive if you lose a few pounds, when in fact you would probably be better off gaining a pound or two? Do you know what it's like not to be able to NOTICE less than twenty pounds gained or lost?

People who obsess on a pound here and there are just making themselves and those around them miserable. Don't go that route. Instead, when you feel a little off, raise or lower the amount of exercise you get. Pay attention to healthy, strong, supple, and forget jumping on the scale every day.

The answer is no. By the BMI (body mass index) you rate as 20. Under 19 is undereight and over 25 is overweight so therefore you are in the lower section of normal! BMI is not an entirely accurate measurement but it gives a roundabout idea. I have a BMI of 32 (obese!) for example, but that is because I go to the gym a lot. For a more accurate idea you should assess your bodyfat percentage.

You do sound perfectly healthy though, all the best.

According to your BMI you are a 19.6. (this is a tool that is best used for general indications and a true body fat test should be done if you want accuracy on what your fat % is). Check the limitations section on the link included.

The ranges are:
BMI Categories:

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

So according to this measure, you are fine. Close to underweight, actually.

You are actually on the lower end of having a normal weight, so the answer is DEFINITELY NOT!!

You can calculate body mass index (BMI), which is the tool physicians use to calculate ideal weights by using an online tool such as the one found at:
