Pray as hard as we could that peace will finally come to this world. That wars will become taboo and nations will settle their disputes amicably.

It's an interesting question. How might we pray like no one ever has before? If you think of all of the situations where someone calls out to the Creator, that's quite a list (in terms of sex acts, vomiting and waste elimination alone).
What about praying to people what we don't consider worthy of prayer, such as people we really don't like? Here's an example:
"Dear Christina, Please have pity on my soul and send me the records you took when you moved out last year. I implore you not to transform from hot Scandinavianchick to bitter chainsmoking psychotic with your next boyfriend. Amen."
We could also pray to nutria, who from what I can tell have never been revered in any culture, while cousins beaver and badger are regularly called upon in hunter-gatherer societies.
Poor, stupid nutria.

Yes I do, but I also think that it's time to take action and work to make the world a better place. Praying is great and maybe if enough go into "super-Prayer" mode the combined efforts will create an awesome positive result. But we also need to get the people that were elected to take care of the US out. We need to write letters, picket, sign up for demonstrations...Do somethintg anything to make it better at our level, maybe we c

It is time to stop hiding from our problems like little kids talking to and begging an imaginary friend, and figure out a way to solve the problems. Praying might help some people cope with fear and tough situations, but it can also be disruptful.

it always seems like it's time to pray like we've never prayed before, but we really have to stop living in total fear and also try to do something about it other than pray. we should learn to deal and fix the problems we have now. also, living in fear means missing out in a whole lot that the world has alot to offer. to
speak in a religious context, wouldnt god want you to go out and fix the world's problems instead on continually praying to him and waiting for the answers to drop onto your laps?
wouldnt he want us to be advocates of peace and help our brothers and sisters in need?
wouldnt god want you to enjoy all that he has created and all that is beautiful and not turn a blind eye to it all, even if that blind eye i in prayer?
i know it sounds like a really huge and almost impossible task but we all have a part to play in fixing our world.

Its time to do something like we've never done before.
Praying will only help us to get into heaven, not change the world
