Because if we slow down, they will work even slower for their 30 bucks an hour. We all want them to speed up so they can finish what they are tearing up so we won't have to be hindered by their slowness, and so we drive fast to keep them on their toes.

Ever seen those videos on TV where the cop gets clipped by a passing car? Yep, I know what you mean. They're either distracted, clueless, drunk, or all three!
If I come up on someone on the shoulder, if space permits, I'll move over to the left lane to give them plenty of room. But the very least, i'll slow way down.

Because they're either inconsiderate or not paying attention. I've seen too many idiots with cell phones glued to their ears who are oblivious to the traffic around them not to think so. Hang up and drive, everybody!
