I was just in China in June.... its crazy driving over there... its DEF. offensive driving over there. Cars have the right of way. Of course this is strickly from what I observed over there.... I don't have an international licence so I'm not sure on the LAWS.... but I'm guessing I'm accurate on this one :)

vehicles have the best chance...living in china 2 times, i've learned that you just cross whenever u can...and usually that means that u cross one lane at a time in the midst of traffic b/c no one will stop for you, even if they have a red light...and the light says that u can walk....haha.

I dont think it really matters when you are there. The whole system is insane. I think I almost lost my life in traffic a few 100 times when I was there. Be careful and have fun!

Maybe vehicles. it is the strongest in China.*smile*
I didn't like those drivers, specially taxi drivers.
pedestrians could be the pins of bowling easily. hahaha..
But I miss China.

Cars have the right-a-way. People do not.
Car/taxi/bus drivers in China are INSANE!!!

the bigger you are, the more right of way you have. Unfortunately, that also means that if you get in an accident with something smaller, you get the blame for it (even if it is their fault!)
