you are afraid of what you dont know, and you are afraid it will rub off on you, learn more about them, get to know one personally, they are just people and they wont try to turn you, it cant be done anyway, they are born that way.

Some people are scared of gays and lesbians, just like others are scared of say, spiders. But it's probably a phycological thing. Are you uncomfortable with your sexuality? That could do it. I admit, I have no problem with them but if a lesbian came onto me I'd probably run to the hills!

I have no idea! You probably dont trust what you cant explain,

Gay and Lesbian people are the same as you and me and they have the same feelings as we do. They are not alien!!! I had two friends both girls who were together while we were in school and the way they were treated was disgusting!! I have no problem with gay or lesbian people as long as they dont make advances on me, that may sound horrible and I really dont mean it to but as long as they know that I am not gay then I have no problem.

Why would you be scared of them?
There is no reason at all.
They are just people?
Would you be scared if you didn't know what they are?

Shrink would tell you that it is because you are not sure whether to go "out of closet" or not. Could that be a reason? No offence.

because you have been taught to fear, either directly by a parent or indirectly by societal pressure or bad experiences with gay people.

ignorance is the birthplace of fear, open your mind to others and at least accept that they are no more terrifying than you are.
