I have lost touch with my sister in law and need to tell her about family matters.

I do not want to telephone her as she does not wish to speak to me bot I just need to give her some family information.

I do not know any of her friends addresses and she hasn't been in touch for about 3 years.

Unfortunately there is no email directory like the phonebook.
If you know where she works you can see if they have a website. Look at the contact email and from that you could figure out her email address. You could send an email to the possible email addresses and flag them so you know if one has been delivered and read. I did this once to contact a friend.
But if you have her phone number it would be quicker to call her!

if you know her phone number, either its a fixed line, from which you can most likely get her address, and send her a letter, or if it's a mobile phone, just send her a text message. Or just ask some one to phone her for you and give her the bad news !
