Lord, thank you for your blessings and do forgive us for slaughtering and eating your lovely creatures which we so tenderly care for but to be eaten when they have reached a certain age. May we experience the same terror of being slaughtered when we go to hell. Amen.

Sorry--I'm the wrong one to ask. When I was about three, my grandmother asked me to say grace. I didn't know what she was talking about, so I said "Grace!"

A funny one we used to say at church camp was "Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub. Yay, God!" But more seriously, "Thank you for the blessings on the table. Thank you for the people gathered here today. Bless this food to our bodies. Amen."
