what kind of signal are you feeding it and how do you have it hooked up (what kind of cables)?

if it's component cables coming from the dvd player or hdtv receiver box, check the colors Y=green, Pr=red, Pb=blue, and check that the menu has it set up for that.
if you are doing video pass-thru with an audio/video receiver to the display, make sure that your model can pass enough bandwidth from yoursignal, and that it's menu is set up fo that connection.
What you have is apparently a signal mixup or something....
check your cables first, then the menus on each device. If you can see something (anything), it's not a bad lamp, but rather a signal problem or setting. One of your devices is confused...

If this is a LCD projector and if these lines are stationary and always there regardless of the source, then I suspect a bad green LCD panel. Call a local Philips authorized repair facility and tell them your model # and ask if the LCD panels can be purchased individually. I'm not sure about Philips, but I work on a lot of other brands and some allow you to buy them and others make you buy the whole assembly. The later is VERY expensive.
