My kitten was separate from his mother too soon, so I had to teach him to use the litter box when I get him in my appartment. Now it's ok, he understands what the litter box is for, and go in it many times every day and night.
But the problem is that since a few days, he started peed on my couch again... And I really don't know what to do, because obviously it's no because he can't find his litter ox, it's like he's doing it deliberately, to tell me something...
I really don't know what I can do. Could you give me some advice ?
Thanks

the problem is that I'm not at home when he pees on the couch, he does that when I'm at work. So when I come home, I see what he did, but can punish him because it's to late...

And he still often uses his litter box... So I think it's not a problem with the litter box

Thanks for all teh answers I get so far.
Well, he's not fixed, so as many of you told me, I guess he's just marking his territory...
The vet told me he can be fixed at 6 months old, and he's only 4 months old...
The best thing I could do he call my vet then...

One of my cats started peeing outside her box and it turned out she had a kidney infection. Take him to the vet and get him checked out. Has he been fixed? If not, he could be spraying as part of the natural male cycle. Again, your vet can help you.
If that fails, you might need to start shutting him up in a bathroom with his food and litter box while you're gone, to remind him what the purpose is for the box.

My guess is that he established the couch as his preferred place to go, and while you're not there to disuade him, he can see no incentive to use any other. So, you need to provide an incentive.
First of all, cats like clean litter. So, make sure it's fresh.
They also like plenty of it, so they can have a good scratch around and turn it over, hiding what they've already done and looking for a fresh bit. Putting it on newspaper (or plastic as someone else suggested) may help him get the idea of this.
Personally, I like privacy, and a cardboard box over the tray with a little entrance hole can be more appealing.
And perhaps most important, the producers perfume the litter, so try an alternative brand. Perhaps he doesn't like the one you've been using.
It's also possible that he misses his mum and wets the bed, like a young human would. In that case, be careful of what attention you give when you come home and find what's happened. As someone with a respect for psychology, you'll understand that you could be inadvertently encouraging him.
Above all else, please don't have his things off just for that!
Let us know how he gets on.

Clonepuppet gives sound advice. Ignore the people who suggest punishment & worse - that is cruelty & the kitten won't understand. A vet check would be a good idea to rule out any health problem ( kidney problem, for example). When you clean the couch don't use any cleaners that contain amonia; this smells like pee to the kitten & will encourage him to use that spot again. Try confining him with the box in a small space until you are sure that he is using it. Try a different type of litter - some cats are fussy. You can solve this problem with patience - don't give up & don't punish or frighten the kitten. Good luck.

"My kitten pees on my coach, what should I do?"
superbooks.org ANSWERS:
1. Wash the stain thoroughly and add that spray that keeps animals away from certain spots. Let the spot dry.
2. Keep your kitten in ONE small room while you retrain hiim to use the potty .
3. Keep placing him in the kitty litter bucket a few times a day so he gsts used to being in there.
4. Now that the couch spot is dry, place a large shower curtain OVER your couch before you bring the couch back to the owner.
The shower curtain will keep the kitten off of the couch because they do not like the uncomfortable feeling and slippery feeling of the shower curtains.
5. Get a cat sitter for days if the need be, if you are going away so that kat sitter properly look after the kitten.

Sometimes, kittens (and cats, if you go out of town long enough) pee in inappropriate places because they're lonely and (somehow) get it in their heads that you're lost. In nature, that's the way the kitty's family find each other. I would use the pet store deodorizer (it's expensive, but worth it) and train the kitten not to do it again by rubbing it's nose in it and saying "NO" (but NO HITTING OR SPANKING!!). If kitty just started doing it after using the litter box for some time, take it to the vet, kitty might be sick, or (if a male cat) needs to be neutered.

Cats are very particular. If he's peeing anywhere other than his litter box, then he is trying to tell you something. Maybe move the litter box to a different area of your home but make sure you show him where it is. Also, once they pee somewhere, they tend to keep doing so I assume because of the smell so Febreze that couch. Just keep putting him in his box. He may be too little to remember where it is.

Well, don't whack him. It's just not right, especially not if it's a young kitten. It just makes them mad or frightened, and no one wants an angry kitten, they do all kinds of things. First get some stuff from a pet store that will remove all traces of wee odor from the couch, because once it smells like a toilet, that's what they'll keep using it for. It has to be pet store stuff because other things just mask the odors, the kitten can still smell it. Really all you can do is discourage the kitten by saying no firmly, and watch him closely - when you can see he's about to restore his personal comfort, snatch him up and drop him in his box instead. He is trying to tell you something, he's obviously cross or sad about something. Just be nice, be loving, be consistent, and buy the spray stuff.

since last time cat think you are nobody there fore you need to establish your dominant role in her territory and get her respect!

I have had countless cats and the thing that has worked for me is putting a plastic pan liner in the litter box and then putting the litter in. My cat's for some reason like the rustling noise it makes when rubbing their paws off after pottying. Just try it.

first of all you should be enjoying the nasty smell of your house from keeping a very nasty animal in it. next the little thing will piss on your bed, clothes, towels etc. go ahead and get use to it and those litter boxes stink up a house badly. but you along with other people who keep cats in the house don't know this because you are use to smelling filth. if you don't want what comes along with a nasty cat then get rid of it. other wise you deserve all the pissing.shitting, and nasty smelling house from the cat.
