Ha! those telling me to wake up? well when the day comes that someone is able to prove that evolution is real or if God is real, then we will see who should have "woken up"

you guys keep saying that evolution doesnt make any sense, i never said it made sense. i just said that it made a lot more sense than any religion's creation myth. so then why are people believing in religion more than evolution if evolution made more sense?

Evolution as a theory is just as valid as the theory of gravity for the same reason that gravity is accepted: there is simply too much evidence in nature confirming it true for any other possible explanation to be valid. However, as a fact, it conflicts with the mythes of the bible which unfortunately so many believe to be not only sacred, but also literally true. People cling to religion rather than accept the conclusions that their rational minds might reach because believing what a religion tells one relieves one of the onerous burden of having to think for oneself.

Think about what you're saying. Evolution makes a heck of a lot of assumptions that have never been proved, such as so-called transitional species (they haven't found any - thought they did but it wasn't the case) and the formation of living cellular organisms from lifeless amino acids (which is pretty much impossible). In the end, you can't prove either that or creationism, that's why this debate will always rage on. It's more about what you initially assumes to be true: Evolutionists assume the earth and universe is millions of years old (even though it CAN NOT be proven - dating bones is not accurate and you can't go back in time to confirm the results, and they make assumptions about erosion marks about age as well) and creationists assume that God exists and has created the universe and earth (some say in 6 days), and obviously, that can also not be proven. I tend to believe creationism (I guess you either believe one or the other or try to make evolution fit in with the Biblical account, but that definitely doesn't work) since there is some compelling evidence, it seems, that support a world-wide flood (Noah's) and things that contradict the evolutionary process, such as the cellular complexity of very "simple" organisms, a messed-up skeletal record (including the non-existence of transitional species, but also dinosaur bones from recent times, one of them even found with some flesh still on it), etc. Keep an open mind and browse the site www.answersingenesis.org, a scientific site publishing articles from Ph.D. scientists (from all different kinds of fields) almost daily.

Well, thanks for the question, but you're too late. We had the evolution revolution in the 1840's-+ when people like darwin, wallace and huxley said the same thing, just more politely and reserved.

I had hoped society had evolved onto a better understaning of the place of humans as part of nature, just a special mammal who asks questions on the internet.

I wanted to reply to 'MyOtherMe' about the comments , especially fossils and transitional forms. I think almost every fossil, sub-fossil etc are 'transitional forms' and evidence of evolution, much like or bones might be in the distant future - a bit different to those of our descendants.

Most fossil 'species' get new scientific names, some are probably unique types, now extinct, while others can be part of lines of descent with living species. Just the fossil ones have differnces we recognise, and therefore call something different, so people can refer to that thing specifically. I might be a direct ancestor of a population of creatures, an entire species of creature, or the ancestor of several species.

Transitional forms exist in living creatures, they are called hybrids, semi-species, quasi-species or semi-species. They are a little different from other similar creatures, but not too different. But they might be in future. God willing?

Evolution without God makes even less sense. Why is it more sensible 2 believe that an ordered existence on this planet came about by chance rather than by meaning.
How many million of years will it take a timber house to evolve from a tree?

Until evolutionists can answer the questions of why and how? You wont win the argument. I can not prove God exists, but you can't prove he doesn't. So does it matter. I still believe in evolution, but I choose to believe there is a God which is behind it. What does it hurt? Nothing.

Are you afraid of believers? or of faith?

If you embrace science you should know not to fear the unknown.

Evolution theory is quite sensible theory. But don't u sometimes just wonder at things that does not have any scientific explination. Some times the ods or chances for things to happen are not realy sensible. Does not that show there are forces that we can not understand are in motion.

It's time for people to realize that their religious beliefs shouldn't be threatened by evolution....any respectable scientist knows evolution is valid, the rest of the world (well, America) just needs to catch up

I believe in evolution. But my best friend believes in Adam and Eve; I think it depends on how your raised. My friend was raised more religious than me. Religion is very powerful, whether you believe or not.

The religion does not make sense for you bcoz your brain did not accept anything beyond your knowledge. You just follow what you heard, saw, and proven with human brain.
