I understand the hurt that you felt. My parents are mixed races and sometimes when people find out they act differently towards me. Sometimes it hurts.
My very best friend is the person that I can talk to for hours on the phone, we have cook outs, I know her children and their families and what is happening in their lives, we've helped each other move, celebrate birthdays and holidays, and we share the normal ups and downs of life.
My husband is white, I am fair-skinned but from mixed parentage, and my best friend is black. And it doesn't matter what race any of us are, I'd love them the same regardless. Since this is the R&S section, I will add that me and my best friend do not share the same religion either. And that's okay. We don't feel that we need to.

No I don't...almost everyone in my university department is white so there isn't much of an opportunity to make close friends with someone who is of a different race. I have made friends with some of the foreign exchange students, but they tend to leave so often that a close relationship can't form also language barriers have been an issue...I spent a whole week trying to explain sarcasm to a guy from Japan, apparently they don't use that form of humor there.

I am Southern American White...I have many Black friends with whom I do not work...men & women. Some I am very close to. I was not brought up to be racist. I think that God does not see the color of our skin any more than He see the color of our hair or eyes. He sees the heart & spirit of a person. So should we.
I try to be just myself. If people like me, great...if not, good & fine. I tend to be with people, I guess, who think pretty much the same as I do. However, it is nice to learn from people from other cultures. I would say stick with people who are worthy of you & do not bother with the rest.

ok, you may now chew your individual head off -- because of the fact British/German or Aussie at the instant are not races, yet consult with human beings from Britain, Germany or Australia. those are countries! you will have your black human beings from Australia or Germany, there, and your chinese language descended human beings in Britain. (colorations of Archie Bunker!) Your Jewish buddy replaced into nearer to top than you or your 4 pals! right here is why: certainty is, we are a faith yet in addition a rustic/human beings (Israel with human beings referred to as "Jewish" or "Israeli" if at the instant contained in the rustic. basically such as you may call your self British yet no longer stay in GB). So whilst somebody says they're Italian or Spanish or British, touching on their united states of america -- Jews can say we are Jewish touching on our united states of america/kin. Belgian or German or Finnish isn't a race, they're nationalities. Judaism isn't a race, that's a nationality that's additionally a faith. So your buddy replaced into top - Judaism is the two a rustic/human beings like Germany and a faith besides as Buddhism and interior of reach American faith. united states of america isn't comparable to ethnicity the two! There are Hispanic human beings from Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Spain, etc. who're now human beings and Asians from China, Malaysia, etc. contained in the U. S. (a rustic or tribe/state). you additionally can call your self a Maineiac, Texan, New Yorker reckoning on in spite of state (each and every state has it somewhat is very own little ethnic flavorings or perhaps sub-ethnicities by utilising area) -- or all of those can say they're American (which would be puzzled with Canadians and Brazilians who're additionally from the Americas). Oh look, no neat little racial, ethnic, tribal or national type labels right here the two! How approximately that. Curley Mo and Larry watch your individual heads waving that enormous rubber hammer thinking British/German or Irish/Italian is a race. solid grief, those nationalities (all eu) communities have been scuffling with for years. genuine, Judaism is a faith and that's a nationality. and.........the situation for the Jewish united states of america of Israel is none different than Israel. yet no longer a race because of the fact each and every race and ethnicity has Israeli citizenship. eh, thank you for this question for the 14th million time! i eventually have been given it why the haters have the desire to make us a race and not a faith or united states of america -- to get the concentration off human beings being rightfully in Israel.
