NY Apple,Apple Mecca is an insult to all Muslims, we wonder why they intend to insult and irritate Muslims?

we never insulted any religion, and Muslims respect all religions in the world.
Apple Computer is a worldwide company, and its opinions and actions should be separated of policy, religion, and anything that would affect its relations with its customers. Mecca is the place where all Muslims travel to for pilgrimage (Hajj), this is a holy place for Muslims, and we won’t accept such an insult for a sacred place in our religion. what do u think?

I am not affiliated with Apple and had not heard of Apple Mecca before now. However, the word "mecca" has been in Western vernacular for quite some time as 'a place that is an important center for a particular activity or that is visited by a great many people'. I am certain Apple intended no insult whatsoever. My best guess is that the title was given innocently, if perhaps ignorantly as a comparison. The Western secularized word is still a prestigious word. We wouldn't call a shopping mall a mecca, we would reserve the term for something much more prestigious, such as a wondrous historical monument or university of such renown that it practically calls out to scholars, drawing them in.

Why don't muslims just stop their bullshit & quit thinking that everyone is out to insult them? If you guys would stop arking up, then I think things would be much more civil. Take a look at your religion from another point of view, like that of a completely non religious person such as myself & only then will you realise just how insulting your kind can be.
I, as with my great grand parents, were born & bred in Australia, yet I now find myself being looked down at by the muslim men & the muslim women hold such an uncalled for hatred toward western women. I don't wear provocative clothes, I dont abuse myself or others & I have values & morals (such as raising my child without learning to HATE another race or religion) that seem to conflict with that of not only the muslims but other religions too. I for one am pretty fed up with the bullshit that religions bring into the world.

any Muslim brother or sister taking offense because mecca
is used in other meanings.....a computer company uses .mecca
why would that offend me ...brother stop being so ridicules

Why is it that Muslims like yourself are so easily insulted, and that your religion thinks declaring holy war on anyone opposing them is the right thing to do? Worse than the bible thumpers you people are. At least when Christians are offended they just take it in stride and believe god will strike their enemies down, while muslim extremists interpret it as killing their enemies themselves will deliver them into a heaven.
