Yeah. Momma typically runs the house. So when she's down, it's hard for anyone else to be happy.

A well-adjusted, mature mother will do her best to act as if she's happy around her children even if she isn't; and if she's so unhappy that she can't help but let it show around her child, she'll explain why she's unhappy and try to set a good example for how to deal with it when one is unhappy. She will not inflict her unhappiness on her children - but every once in a while they may sense it, and it probably does put a little bit of a damper on things for them.

Um...yeah! sad but true. It is that way in my home becuase I am so emotional...If I'm happy, excited, etc., it is contagious. If I'm sad depressed, angry, etc., everyone feels it.
I also have ADHD and OCD so I did not like this and I am on Zoloft now so my emotions are a little more in check.
If I'm upset...my kids can go right on having fun. I can control it now!

Definitely true. When the woman of the household is unhappy, everyone will know it. That is the way of the world. Have a good day!!

A recent study found that children under twelve who were diagnosed with depression made the most progress -- NOT when they were given medication -- NOT when they were given therapy -- but when their MOTHERS were given therapy and medication.
So yes! An unhappy mother has a harder time giving her kids what they need.

A mother is the fulcrum of the household. She gives stability to the family and she is the one who makes the house , a home.
So, certainly, others are happy only when she is and they are not happy when she isn't happy!

Depends on how influential she is on the emotions of others.
If she makes other people's life miserable because she is, then I'd say yes.
