It seems to be an oxymoron that Bible thumpers would do this as it might be considered desecration

I've seem them literally hit their hand hard on a bible while trying to make a point...even slam it down on the pulpit (tv and street evangelists).

I wear out two to tree Bible A year The Bibles Not Holy The word in it is.

I totally agree with the unnamed poster above me. I've seen them literally thump their hands on the bible for emphasis of a point.
