yes! tap water is what they use in restaurants and cooking. I assume you were fine all along. the tap water out of your bathroom faucet is the same as the water coming out of the faucet your mom used for cooking.
It's a myth that bottle water are better. in fact, most bottle water are just about the same as most tap water, except way more expensive. studies have done that bottle water don't taste better than tap water either.
if you have excessive minearls or yellowish water, you are suppose to clean the water tank at least twice a year. it's easy: just empty about a couple gallons of water at the bottom of your tank to clean it and that's it!
if you are really obsessed, there are purifier available in stores that clean the water further and kills odors.

Of course it is safe to drink water out of the faucet in your bathroom. It is the same water that comes out of the faucet in your kitchen. Hope that this helps. Have a good day!!!

Do you believe the government? Tap water is supposed to be safe to drink. However, they have to treat a lot of water for a lot of people and shove it through a whole lot of pipes. Sometimes, bad things happen, and contaminants get into the pipes. Also the standards for "safe" aren't high enough to be safe for "high risk populations", such as people with various allergies, diseases, old people, children, pregnant people, etc. Even though I live in the US, I still have a combination water softener / filter for the whole house to be safe, and I also have an additional 5-stage filtration device for water that I drink. The contaminants in the water, even at levels that the government decided is "safe", can still accumulate in your system and cause problems over time.

Probably but not definitely. It's a lot safer then water in other places but it would still be a good idea to filter it.
