Brussels could be the capital of Belgium and is the primary seat of the Belgian Royal Family and, also the capital of the European Union and if you want to know after that it this is the place hotelbye . Brussels is a remarkably small, easy-going, and human-sized town for several their importance. Unlike anthers city making use of their hordes of tourists, Brussels is Belgium's main financial and academic link, which provides the city a more workaday experience than different towns. Here, in Brussels, if you would choose to visit, you will receive a correct sense for Belgian life, especially their great cafe and café culture. Even though Brussels might not need the celebrity attractions of other Belgian cities, the capital has more than enough to help keep readers occupied for a day or two with a clutch of world-class museums and artwork galleries, as well as quirkier sights including the Atomium, and some amazing remnants of previous architecture in the old city quarter.

Because they are usually over cooked. The texture is altered and the flavour changed.

Try them like this.

Trim the sprouts, them slice thinly length ways.
Peel and slice two cloves of garlic
Melt 3 oz butter in a pan with1/2 pint of chicken stock.
Once the water and butter are bubbling add the sprouts and garlic, cover the pan and simmer for 4 minutes.

Remove the lid and turn up the heat stir the Brussels until all the water has evaporated.

Grate a little nutmeg over the sprouts and serve.
This is a gourmet dish.

Has nothing to do with EU regulations! The fact is that most people in England cook them to death - you end up with a soggy mess. Cook them whole, make two cross-wise cuts in the stem end, plunge into boiling water and take them out after max: ten minutes. My mother agreed my sprouts were better than hers, but continued to cook them à l'anglaise. Yuck!

Because we have a tendency to overcook vegetables, thus we loose the nutrients and we are left with this "shell". Steamed is the best way but u have to boil them then plunge them in boiling water for no more than 5 Mn ...they have to stay crunchy like carrots in stir fry

Most of the people who dislike them are fat degenerates who've been raised on junk. Their taste buds are numbed to real food. I'll take sprouts over a greasy burger any day, thanks.

Probably because their mother cooked them to death when they were younger at which point they taste really bad.

I can only eat them if they have been cooked for less than 10 minutes!

It has a lot to do with the way they are cooked. They also taste better if they are picked after they have had a frost on them. Of course, they do have a bit of a reputation...........

Because they are usually overcooked and taste horrible.

If lightly cooked, stir fried in ginger, they are fantastic.

Boiling them to death has a lot to answer for.

Probably because they have a rather strong taste, but if you put vinegar on them they are much more acceptable.
