when you do it try using lubricant in hand if you can it makes for a nicer sensation or blow slowly on the tip while doing it itl send him over the edge

You should probably try talking to him about it first.
He knows his body better than you do, you should perhaps just ask him to do it himself while you watch or maybe ask him how it feels or if you can do anything differently to make it more enjoyable for him.
I could advise you on technique but that would be pointless because what one person finds pleasurable another finds over sensitive to the point of it being painful

Here is a suggestion what the problem could be. Maybe he isn't down with you giving him a handy. I personally am not down with someone giving me one. If I wanted a hand job, I can do that myself.
Another problem could be that he is not relaxed. Do you have soft hands? Are you gentle with his joystick? Try using some lotion, play with his scrotum, or have some soft music in the background.
