To quote someone who should be in the bible, "Be excellent to eachother. And Party on dudes!"

But yeah, it says "Thou shalt not condemn thy neighbor for the music of rock. If thou refuseth the rock thou art condemned. Thou shalt always bang thy head in rememberance of thy god."

The bible actually foretold that harpers (similar to guitar players) will sing a song of prophesy. They are foretold that they will have long white hair (white a symbolical way of saying good or righteous). It describes heavy metal music very well. I don t see another better and more accurate way to explain what the sound of heavy metal harps (guitar like stringed instruments) is like to people who would not know what electricity and sound of distortion is. Read for your self but here is a portion of what the bible foretold; Rev 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps..." roar of many waters; sound of loud thunder....that sure sounds like Heavy metal harpsts to me

Rev 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps,

Actually it IS in the Bible. REad the book of Revelation, especially chapter 14 verse 2, they aint talking about playing music like country, that music is going to roar, and we both know what kind of music Roars!!! ROCK AND ROLL. It wont have the sexual lyrics or cussing but it will sure be rock and roll, So be sure to give your faith to Jesus only , and not in Good works or obeying laws, but only in Jesus so you can go there and experience it .

It does not address "heavy metal" but does say....

1Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

Its not the style of music that is important. God created all styles of music, and I personally don't think he minds heavy metal.

Its the message behind the music that counts.
The lyrics and what they mean.
Thats what is important.

It doesn't say anything about it.

In Psalms there are references to musical instruments, but nothing about Heavy Metal.

It doesn't say anything. Not to mention the bible is a book of stories used to teach moral lessons, not a how to guide.
