Copper is the best electrical conducter.If you notice power cords have copper wire inside (you can see it on the clear colored ones often used for lamps). It is also used in high voltage power lines, but a penny has about 5% copper so pennies are not very good conducters, but you can buy copper wire at any hardware store.
