GUess you two must have had that something special in the relationship that you can't get over still after a year...

I think i answered this question before.. start hanging out with your friends.. hanging out with more ppl.. keep your mind busy with things... dun try to remember what the 2 of you had done in the past.. if possible.. keep all the old photos, keep the things he bought for you so that it doesn't remind you at all...

Constantly tell yourself that someone is out that for you... and count yourself lucky that you are still dating.. which means.. gal/guy are still coming in your way.. give others a chance.. as well as give youself a chance for others...

Its not easy..definately..'ve been thru that.. and got over it.. and soon you will realized no point waiting for that person who will never be with u.. or not meant for u

Time will heal all wounds. It takes time to get over a relationship. It also depends on how you handle your emotions. It took me about three years to really get over my ex many years ago. Until the day I see her again, the love is no longer there. Keep yourself occupied by doing the things that you love to do. Mix around more with your friends. It's still ok to think of your ex once in a while cos it is hard to totally erase someone away from your mind. What you need is time to get over it. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you are with.

Find someone who you enjoy being around, or find a new girl and go make new memories and also it might be a good idea to paint over old memories...

It is hard once you really care about someone to let it go, you should have grieved properly by now..

Grab her photos, listen to all the songs that make yuou sad and remember her, then in your mind say thank you for the wonderful times and get rid of any photos, memories and change the music.

I count myself lucky I dont know your pain... Sorry to hear you feel the way you do.

It takes a long time to get over someone you love, if you ever do. I left a man I loved over 15 years ago and there's still hardly a day that I don't thing about him and wonder where he is and if he's married, etc.
But it stopped being painful after about 2 years.
After that, you remember the good things and appreciate that they were ever in your life at all.
Be patient with yourself and allow yourself to feel what you feel. It'll be ok, I promise.

i know how you feel, i experienced it before. till now, i still cant get over my 1st love. i did a lot of things but i still care for him. until my very last meeting with him, i just realised that the feeling i have for him had changed. the way i care for him is just like a friend (or rather more than a friend but definitely not a boyfriend). i guess i will not stop myself from caring for him. its totally impossible i supposed. just let it be. time will fade everything.

dont try dating around or having fling around. not worth it. when im not with him, i did all these. it just didnt help, it will just make you feel worse after that.

Come to grips with the fact that you will always love her. Part of your heart will always belong to her. As you grow that part may become smaller, but will never go away. This means that you really were in love. People who can "just get over" someone without any lasting grief were not in love.
Do things that make you happy, wether its hiking, video games, working or whatever. Just learn to be happy, it's hard but it can be done.

Best thing I do until I am ready to date again is keep your mind occupied with other things you like to do. I have met more people that way than any other for starters and on top of it your doing things that take up your time that you enjoy.

do not date for awhile, surely you can talk to guys, but don't date. if you date, you only compare them with your ex and that's not fair to the incomings.
find something stimulating, like hiking or camping, go rock climbing- keep your mind busy and find a hobby. don't do things you and your ex did, or they'll bring back memories.

time is the only thing that works unless theres some possibility of working it out with her. being single doesnt make it any easier to get over someone though just makes you want them back more

Usually the best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody.

It really does help.
