Do fruit flies bite people and if so do they spread disease or illness?

I think they only attack fruits and vegetables. Everything I saw when I looked them up only talked about fruit and vegetable infestations, and nothing at all about biting humans. They spread germs to people through the food they infect.

no they do not bite, but u may bite one in the next apple u eat lol
