Depends on the intensity. The harder you work the muscle the longer you need to let it recover. If you are just light workouts, every other day is fine. Rule of thumb is 48 hr to recover. For heavy building workouts you may need to only work out that specific miscle once a week. I personaly have found the best gains in size and strenght by working 1 muscle groop a day, once a week. IE. monday chest 3 excercises 3 sets each 8-10 reps. tuesday back, weds. shoulders. thurs. legs. friday triseps. sat. biceps. To stay lean cardio mon-sat min 30 min. every other day core work. keep the center strong. low weight, high rep.keep the core strong and lean will add depth to the rest of your body.

if you give one day break between exercise days,it is not a problem. For instance you may exercise at wednesday, friday and sunday. You can make a schedule but try to work initially vast muscles than little groups such as chest muscles first and then arm muscles.

No but I would vary the type of exercises every so often....weights, isometrics, cardio ans stretching for a possible variety. Also, on 2 day of the week consider exercising other muscle groups.
Hopefully if you a able, your are doing some type of aerobic cardiovascular exercise.
Good luck and stay healthy.

usually what most fitness trainers tell their clients to do is to work out one or two muscle groups hard only one day a week cause it takes about a week for the muscle to fully recover, depending how hard you train it might be too much and wont make you any stronger or build more muscle by working them multiple times a week

I don't think so. Just pay attention to your body and give your body a rest when you are really sore. I used to alternate muscle groups (arms, legs, back) every workout and do extra cardio on the days my muscles were too sore.
