OK...I can at times become an organized freak.
As a women this is where i start. 1st make your bed then OPEN your closet door...YIKES! Go through your closet. Make a pile of things you no longer need think "goodwill". As you gather cloths you still want to keep, start using your bed as a table and fold and make separate piles. Fold Shirts, pants, sweather, skirts (color code if possible) hang cloths, Pair up shoes, pile your belts (belt organizers can be found at Walmart for 5$), gather your purses and bags(purse organizers or coat hangers for the inside of the closet door can also be purchased at Walmart) Paint them if you want.
AN ORGANIZED CLOSET...Feels great and can motivate your next move. By organizing you will create more room for things.
Next.
Dive into your bureau. You will probably find cloths that can fit into your closet, cloths to hang, cloths to fold. Organize it all so when you open a draw it contains tank tops, or t-shirts, or shorts ect.
Getting to your area of lots of different interesting things, you will want to get an organizer, hat boxes, baskets are my fav, you can use coffee cans (pencils, pens, markers, crayons, even makeup) Try a craft shop for interesting ideas for organizers. If you have a shelf you can use clay pots (pottery) to organize and separate things that fall into the same category.
Be sure to visit every corner in your room while organizing...The hardest part to all of this is deciding where to HOMEBASE your items. Once you decide wear it goes...it should always be placed there.
Happy organizing

The success of organizing a room depends on how well it suits all the members of your family. To create a décor that you will be happy with, think about what you want and also what you don’t want.
It’s a good idea to know what you have before you begun to change things. As you begin to pull your design ideas together, think about your preference and what will work in your home.
Color can work wonders... it can change the look of a room and change your feeling about the room. You can start by looking through magazines, and catalogs. Give yourself plenty of time, it will take longer than you think, and your ideas will develop as you go.
Gathering samples is a great way to begin. If you are starting with a color, your samples might include fabric, paint chips, wallpaper, carpet, wood, stone, and tile.
Knowing what you can spend on a project will give you a clearer idea of what you can achieve. If you’ll on a limited budget, mark off those things that will make the most difference, such as a new wall color and a new sofa.
You can set the mood of a room in lots of ways, such as lights, and furnishings. There are no hard or fast rules or must-do sequence for this process.

Plan thoroughly first.
Roughly Sketch out your room and develop areas. Study, tv. eating, seating and storage space needed in the room.
Then work on one area at a time on paper and through magazine pictures for Ideas. Don't invest money until you pull a plan together.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and check out the paint section. This is a great place to work on color selection and coordination. Check out Big Lots for bargain shopping. Good Luck.

you could placed all your issues which you dont go with on your storage or basement, then p.c.. up all the clothing that look grimy and placed them to bathe or some thing. The sparkling ones, fold them and placed shirts in one facet of your closet and pants in the different facet..only seperate them into small sections. And yeah throw trash away, sparkling the living house windows set up your table (in case you have one)
