I was on a date with a girl a while ago, and her breath smelled really bad. I wanted to tell her, but I didn't want to sound mean.

I really like her.

I brush my teeth after every meal twice before dates.

you don't.
you offer her a mint.
it's more polite
and it's rather chivalrous...
but take one yourself first
that way, you deal witht the issue, and look good too!

Well honey, not everyone takes good care of their teeth.
On the other hand, some do and there are certain types of gum diseases that cause VERY bad breath.
You like this girl so you do not want to hurt her feelings or embarrass her.
If it was me, I would want to know, but it is a difficult subject to approach.
When you two are together I would offer her a piece of candy, perhaps a mint or a piece of gum....especially before you kiss!!!! There is nothing more revolting than kissing someone who has bad breath!!!
If she declines the gum or candy simply say, politely, "Yeah , I really think that you should have a piece." Then she will ask why, or if she catches on she will say, "Why does my breath smell?" In that case you say, "Well I really don't want to hurt your feelings, but yes." Hopefully this has nothing to do with her mouth care and is fixable!!
Good Luck!!!

Honesty is always the best answer, i think u shuld let her kno, but dont tell her in front f a bunch of people take her aside and gently let her know, she may be embarrsed but people r gonnna make fun of her and if somene doesnt tell her then how can she fix it, who knows maybe there was a reasn why maybe she aite something who knos, but she be honest...or maybe tell one of her friends so her firned can tell her. But i kno if i had stinky breath i would want t know....would u want to kno?lol

Good luck

SOmewhere in the yellow pages was a service that contacted people very discretely about such things.
You could STAGE your own. Send her a note in snail mail, send it from a DIFFERENT county and type it out so she has no clue who sent it and make it friendly. If she has a job or goes to school, lead her to believe its from someone there so your in the clear. When or if she brings it up to you, you can act shocked or say you got one once too! .. .. .. etc.. ..

Don't tell her, just carry lots of mints. When that breath starts kicking, you take one for yourself and offer her one. If she refuses, at least you won't be able to smell her breath over the minty aroma in your own mouth.

While you're making out, slide a piece of mint gum into her mouth.

What a drag.................just offer her mints, but that would be just to talk to her...but advice I wouldn't let a stinky mouth ever kiss me...........gross...so much gross things...remember you don't know where she has been............safer to not date someone with a nasty smelling mouth.............I don't care how good-looking the person is...............
