I know that just from an online description, no one can really "diagnose" me. I was just wondering what you think about this. I am in my teens, and I feel like a have "butterflies" a lot, even if there is nothing to be nervous or anxious about. I don't want to be afraid in my own house anymore. I feel tired a lot, even if I've gotten 9 hours of sleep. Sometimes I wonder if anxiety is draining my energy. I have some unreasonable fears, too. The dark scares me somewhat, and I'm also sometimes afraid that there could be a killer in my house. I know it sounds ridiculous. I have terrible stage-fright, and this is one fear that really gets in the way sometimes. I once had an audition to get into an orchestra, and I think I might have had a panic attack. My heart was beating fast, I was sweating, my arms started to tingle, and I even felt a little lightheaded. There is nothing traumatic that has happened to me that would have caused any of this. I'd be relieved to know what this might be!

It sounds like you have an anxiety disorder. It might help if you did something relaxing, like yoga or breathing exercises. If you feel like those things aren't going to be enough to calm you down, don't be embarrassed about seeing a counselor or therapist. These people are trained in helping patients with anxiety disorders. Hope you feel better soon!

It is not unusual for teens to not get enough sleep.. being tired does suggest some deficiency in your bodies chemistry. The most notable item is the total lack of confidence... Anything new frightens you because of that factor.

You do have an over active imagination, creating anxieties that are totally unnecessary.. this is something you can learn to control.. it will take a bit of effort but, you are totally capable of doing it..You are allowing the negatives to control what you think about.. giving your power away... Fight a little bit to regain control and find something positive about your house that can replace those negatives When you allow the mind to do this sort of thing, you are diminishing the effect of a chemical in the brain, that will make you feel much better...

You didn't say how old you were but would hope you are old enough to gain the necessary control of what you allow your mind to do to you... before you require therapy... that is a long drawn out affair too, You will still be the one having to make it work for you anyway, even with help..

Eh, ignore the ppl here who are knocking you down or telling you that you shouldn't feel what you feel. You feel how you feel and that's fine. It's telling you something. It also does sound like anxiety, which is something almost everybody experiences. Stage fright is a biggy that a lot of ppl never really overcome. Oh, and, it's not unusual for teens to sleep a lot. Your body is doing a lot of growing.

Since you are questioning these things, it'd be smart to talk to your parents about it so that they can understand you. It'd also be smart to get a check up to make sure your health is fine. Yoga and exercise will help you learn to calm your nerves and can help boost your self esteem. Noticing when you get anxious and figuring out why is a really good idea, it'll keep you focused on something other than your fear and it might help you figure out what's underlying it. Talking to people, maybe a group like suggested earlier, is a good way to find out that you're not the only one who gets nervous.

You are aware of how you feel and comfortable asking about what you're not sure. Those are really positive traits. You've got half of this challenge beat already.

The stuff that happened befor the audition is normal. It's just nerves. The fears in your house a a little unreasonable but that doesn't mean you have anxiety disorder. I think this is something you'll grow out of in a few years.
Don't run to the pharmacist for every little thing, that's what the drug companies are trying to sell you on.

First, get a good physical check up. Be sure to check your blood sugar and diet. Some of these could be related to physical problems.
Whether it is anxiety or not you should share your concerns with a qualified counselor. Some schools or cities provide them a no cost. There are a lot of ways to combat anxiety besides medications.
I suffered for years with similar symptoms. I found a support group of people with fears just like mine (and some with worse!). I felt good to know I was just not alone. But they really helped me get better and feel better.
Good luck.

1) You can see a doctor on this ...
2) Do something to distract yourself for example; take up jogging. It can build up your health, and it can also increase your self confidence as you become fitter and your body become more well build.
3)If there is somebody trusted to talk to, it would be good also.
4)Last but not least, in life we have to live up to and overcomes challenges that comes along our way. It can be done and all problems have their solutions. All the best.

You lack self confidence. I suggest that you start taking a martial arts class. It will give you confidence and help you to focus your mind.
Also, you are sleeping too much. When you sleep 9 hours, that will make you more tired. You need to get out and do some physical exercise and the martial arts class will help with that too.
