Create secondary partition ->select remaining size fully

Just make 1 partition during the installation of windows xp and then you finished installing do the followings:
Setting -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management -> Right click on free space -> Make is Extended Memory -> then make 2 logical Drive-> This way you can have 3 partitions.

Good Luck.

Just make 1 partition first by not using the full drive space when you install Windows. Select the size you want to use for the first partition (the one you want Windows to boot on) when asked.

The rest of the unused area (Unallocated Space) you can deal with once you have Windows already installed using Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management. From here you can partition and format the rest of your drive.
