Okay,, i always knew quicktime and itunes were unneeded programs(for me), but i downloaded it.

then, i decided i didn't want it so i tried add/remove programs tool to erase quicktime and itunes.

But even though it said uninstallation is complete, it would not erase from the list.

I am confused.. is it a spyware? please help me!

I tried to go to the quicktime + itunes folder seperately, but the strange thing is that the uninstall program is not there. Should i reinstall quicktime+itunes again and delete them?

Go to the start menu, hit search (the little spy glass) type in the name of each program (one at a time) and search for all the files and delete them manually. There are still some of these files lurking in your computer.

Go to the "control panel" and then to "add or remove programs" then search for quicktime and itunes there. If they are not there then they have been removed from your PC. Then you have to check for them in the Program Files in your C-Drive. If they are there just delete them. But if the files are present in the "add or remove programs" click on them once and then remove them. They might also be present in your START menu ALL PROGRAMS. Click the right mouse button on them and delete them. They will be removed from your PC.

itunes and quickime are not spyware or adware.

it may have said to restart your computer for uninstallation to be complete.

also double check the folder where they were installed.

C:\Program Files\iTunes and C:\Program Files\QuickTime

go to those folders and see if there are any files left. if there are none, then you uninstalled, but windows hasnt taken note of that.

if there are still files there, run the uninstallation from the itunes and quicktime folder.

Sounds like you're actually looking at the shortcuts, not the actual programs. You'll have to go to the actual place in the system that all of those shortcuts are stored, and manually remove them.
