I was born in Los Angeles County. Does that make me a Native American? Alot of you people complain that we came here illegally a couple hundred years ago. Where should I be deported to?

Yes, I did fail to mention that my parents on both sides came from families that have been here for many generations.

Maybe you should have a choice based on any country that any relative in your family tree may have come from..... or even visited! Then they could have a Repatriation Fair (like a school science fair) where different countries try to sell themselves to you as a place you might like to spend your future.... and your money!

Great question and good point to make. Every country on the planet is populated by people who traveled there from somewhere. You just need to go back far enough.

If you came here illegaly hundreds of years ago, you must be very old! :)

I would suspect that most people's ancestors came here when there was no country to speak of, or came legally once the country was established.

I believe thast NO humans are native to North America. Evidence indicates that all arrived from Europe, Asia (through Bering land bridge or otherwise) or elsewhere.

What happened in the past is no longer relevant. America can not absorb poverty at the rate it is today without degrading the overall health of the country. America is a beacon of human development and prosperity. We need to be able to choose the people we want coming into this country and the people we don't.

this is a melting pot? No one is saying you are illegal and you should be deported.

There is no denying what was done to the 'Natives' 200 years ago....It was wrong, period. Its in the past, the problem I have is when you say, get rid of illegals, they are breaking the law, but we are also guilty of breaking many laws against our brothers, are you going to deny that murder and invasion wasn't a crime?

De Rak, I'm native, too...born in Los Angeles.

I have no other nation of origin.

I could not be deported to anywhere else...lest I be illegal in that country.

You are right......... You are a Native American, but your ancestors were not........... I just say, ¿what does your ancestors would feel if they were treated like some people does with illegals?

it´s just my thought. I might be wrong, but a wall or hunting illegals it won´t stops that social problem, as long as foremen hire illegal people, they will keep on going and going..... regards.............. Kunn

according to the constitution we were born here and our parents were legal, therefore were legal....that argument is worthless

and the illegals that say that think what happened 200 years ago is reason to defend theyre ILLEGAL status, Hah!

to them: two wrongs dont make a right >.>

laws were passed in the usa in the 1800's to regulate immigration to try to stop the rampant spread of syphillis. if you must know. any immigrants before that time are legal, just ask them..... the law has been ammended many times.the last time was the Regan amnesty bill.

Ahhh, that is just pro-illegals trying to flip the argument. To bad that doesn't work on me. I am a master at doing that in an argument, so it is easily recognizable for me.
