I you have WinXP, simply do a system restore. Click on the "Start" menu, then on "All Programs", Then "accessories", Then "System Tools" here you can select the "System Restore". Follow the steps and when the meny shows you a calendar, click on the date before all the problems occured.. remember that any updates or add ons willl have to be re-installed bu this should get your PC rockin, and rolling ;)

Do you know the difference between delete and uninstall? If you simply deleted it, open your recycle bin, find the software and click it, select restore. By the way, NEVER delete programs! All you are doing is partially deleting some of the programs files! Do a proper uninstall in add remove programs in control panel! If you keep taking software out by deleting it some day you WILL BE SORRY! You will delete files and the computer will still look at the program as if it is still in there and it may even keep you from booting up! Do yourself a favor and buy a book called windows for dummies before you wreck the dam thing!

First of all check whether all of your speakers or headphones are connected properly and powered on. After checking that check whether you have the appropriate drivers for your sound card.

For checking that

right click on my computer
click on properties
choose the HARDWARE tab
click on DEVICE MANAGER

if you have a yellow question mark on a PCI device then its most probably your sound card. If you have a built in sound card then you need to use your motherboard cd which contains the drivers for your sound card.

your computer maker's web site will probably have the drivers for your computer. select your model, and go to the download section.

also, don't delete programs, you need to uninstall them.
