Every body responds differently... Mine on excersice of just 2 weeks brought up the shape linese where as my brother it took about 3 months. So maybe that's how you are built. Lean and strong, unlike me :(

You really should start reading Muscle and Fitness for some lessons on weight lifting and expections.

75 sets is a LOT for one session. Perhaps you are talking about reps (i.e. one bench press up and down is one rep, doing 10 of them and putting the bar away is a set).

There are a couple of things you may be doing wrong:
1) Your not consuming enough calories / protein to support muscle gain.
2) You are overtraining. You are burning too many calories in the gym and not allowing your body to rebuild itself.
3) You are undertraining. You aren't lifting heavy enough or are sandbagging your way through your workouts.
4) You are working out too many times per week ... see overtraining.
5) Unrealistic expectations -- if you've been at it for a week and wondering why you aren't on the cover of Men's Health -- well, I've got news for you... it takes years to develop a physique like that...
6) Incorrect form... I've seen guys heave around a lot of weight, but they are using momentum instead of training the muscle. Be sure you are using correct / form tempo.

You may find the folks at http://www.bodybuilding.com to have more tips. Also head on out and pick up a few Muscle and Fitness magazines to learn more about body building. I've found it to be an excellent source of information (although it seems to be sort of supplement happy).

Good luck.

maybe you should try some weight training and up your protein intake, it also depends, who old are you?
