Go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods (Trader Joe's is cheaper) and you will find Neufchatel cheese near the cream cheese in the cheese section.

A lot of basic, non-specialty grocery stores sell neufchatel right next to or among their normal cream cheese, but the label "neufchatel" may be in the corner of the box or something. I know that I've many a time picked up a box of neufchatel cheese in the local Wal-Mart, thinking that it was a box of cream cheese.

Where To Buy Neufchatel Cheese

Easy. Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese (the big name brand), also makes neufchatel. They market it as: "Philadelphia 1/3 Less Fat". It's marked "Neufchatel Cheese" in the upper right corner of the box. I highly recommend it, as it has a very similar flavor to cream cheese, with the benefit of less fat. Any grocery store should have it.

FYI, I do *not* recommend the fat free cream cheese. IMO, Bleah.

You should be able to get it at any store with a gourmet cheese section. If you have a Trader Joe's, that's a good place to get it. If you have a Stater Bros., they should have it too.
