Catholics worship the pope as God. The pope dictates rules that Catholics must follow.

Baptists worship King James as God. Baptists don't follow any rules.

Mormons offer a logical, comprehensive explanation of events that are more believable than anything anyone else invented. Mormons actually have real rules they try to live by and work very hard at self-improvement. And, make every effort to make the world a better place for everyone.

Other than that, not much.

A Mormon is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They believe that the Catholic church lost their directions and lost the true word of God and as such that Christ's Christ was no longer on this Earth. They believe that it was given back to this Earth throuph the Prophet Joseph Smith in/about 1832 through revelation. Their current Prophet is Gordan B Hickley. They have different views of what the God Head is. The Mormons believe that it is 3 perpetrate entities: God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. The Catholic Church and Baptist Christ follow the Nician Creed that believes they are one person (but the Bible says that Jesus prayed to his father and when he was Baptized God said' This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" )

Now as for Baptist and Catholic, the Baptist are an American Protestant religion. They also believe that the Catholic church had gone astray and quit following the Bible. They both believe in the Nician Creed but the Baptist do not believe that Mary was without sin (nor do the Mormons) nor do they believe that the Pope is a leader for God, they don't believe you have to confess through a Priest to be forgiven of your sins but that you pray directly to God for forgiveness. They believe the Bible (as all three do) but interpret it differently.

a mormon is a member of the Mormon church, or the church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints. They believe that Jesus was God's Son, but also the brother of Satan, you can become a God after death, but there's not a sure way to Heaven. I could tell u a bunch of stuff bout them, but really, they're very far from the catholics and baptists in beliefs. Catholics believe in many works for salvation, and pray to Mary and many other saints, but they do believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins, many arealso not sure of Salvation. There are many types of baptists. They believe that Jesus paid the full price for their salvation. They believe that Baptism is a symbol of what JEsus did for us, death burial and ressurection, and it is how u join the church. Very Bible based, but again it depends.

Ok there seems to be a large number of opinions here so I might as well state my truths. LDS (A.K.A. Mormon, Latter Day Saints) beliefs are in Jesus Christ. Through his atonement and sacrifice man can be saved. And by following his path, man can achieve a good life. There are numerous rules and guidelines for LDS but they are meant to protect the members and help them live happy lives. Much of LDS teachings follow logical paths though faith is considered to be of utmost importance. Yes that means faith, belief without proof. If you want a quick summary of LDS/Mormon beliefs I suggest you look at the book "True to the Faith" or at the "Articles of Faith". LDS members do believe in prophets being the bringers of the Lord's truth and in the Book of Mormon. --Is Catholic--

First Mormons are not Christian. They use a lot of Christian lingo, but their actual beliefs do not corispond even in a general fashon to the historical Christian beliefs. Mormonism is not a heretical, schismatic, or apostate form of Christianity. Even their current president Gordon B. Hinckley says that Mormanism is not like Protantism or Catholicism (in a booklet called What of the Mormons?) They are more gnostic than anything and follow the teachings of Joseph Smith and a few other elders who succeded him. They are a very large group, but they are also a cult.

If you want to learn about different Christians, see http://www.creeds.net/ and notice that Mormon creeds are not listed. That is because Christian universaly recognize that Mormons are not Christian.

Distinctive Mormon beliefs:

1) God the Father is married and there is a Mother God, (Answers to Gospel Questions, Joseph Fielding Smith, Vol. 3, pp. 143-144).

2) All men and women who have ever lived on Earth are the spirit offspring of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. Every person was conceived and born in a pre-existent spiritual realm, (Mormon Doctrine, McConkie, p. 589).

3) Black people are black because of their misdeeds in the pre-existence, (Three Degrees of Glory, LDS Apostle Melvin J.Ballard, p. 21).

4) Temple ceremonies include Baptism for the Dead, Washing and Anointing for the living and the dead, (Mormon Doctrine, McConkie, pp. 72-74, 226-228).

5) Salvation or exaltation, whereby men become gods, is based on one's own good works or merit, (Church News, October 8, 1988, p.23 and The Religion of the Latter-day Saints, Lowell Bennion, LDS Institute of Religion Director, p.160).

6) The Bible is considered usable, but suspect due to its many errors and missing parts, (Articles of Faith No.8, Ensign January 1989, pp. 25, 27).

7) Jesus was married to Mary and Martha at the wedding feast of Cana. (Apostle Orson Hyde, Journal of Discourses, Vol .4, pp.259-260)

8) Some sins can only be paid for with the blood of the sinner specifically murder and adultery.

(Journal of Discourses, Vol.III, p.247 and Vol.IV pp.219-220)

9) A. In the last days Jews will be gathered together and returned to Zion, Mormons will be gathered together and returned to Missouri and the judgement of the Lord will be poured out upon the earth everywhere, except on the old and new Jerusalem. (Doctrine & Covenants 29:9-11).

10. The lost ten tribes of Israel will come out from their hiding place near the North Pole and gather with the Mormons in Missouri. (Joseph Smith, The Young Woman's Journal, Vol.3, pp. 263-264 / Mormonism and the Mormons, D.P.Kidder, p.91)

11. Mormon Apostle McConkie further states:"And Christ was born into the world as a literal Son this Holy Being he was born in the same personal, real, and literal sense that any mortal son is born to a mortal father. He was begotten, conceived and born in the normal and natural course of events. (Mormon Doctrine, p 742).

12. "The appointment of Jesus to be the Saviour of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God. He was called Lucifer, son of the morning. Haughty, ambitious, and covetous of power and glory, this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Saviour of mankind", (The Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

13. As Lorenzo Snow, fifth prophet of the LDS Church exclaimed, "As man now is, God once was; as God now is, man may be", (Ensign, February 1982, pp.39-40).

14. "The Father has promised us that through our faithfulness we shall be blessed with the fullness of his kingdom. In other words we will have the privilege of becoming like him. To become like him we must have all the powers of godhood; thus a man and his wife when glorified will have spirit children who eventually will go on an earth like this one we are on and pass through the same kind of experiences, being subject to mortal conditions, and if faithful, then they also will receive the fullness of exaltation and partake of the same blessings. There is no end to this development; it will go on forever. We will become gods and have jurisdiction over world, and these world will be peopled by our own offspring. We will have an endless eternity for this",(Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.2, 48).
