He obviously had a father. Well according to laws of those days, a woman had to prove worthy before marriage - So Mary had to show Joesph that she could get pregnant and bare his child. The marriage happens after wards. So Jesus's father was Joesph. The same thing happen with Jesus when he married Mary - Mary was pregnant before !

It is absurd to think in the 21st century that a woman would get pregnant when someone farts !

Just went though some answeres given to this question - Christians don't have a clue of what's happening around ya ?

read about Mary in the book of Luke, the Christmas story. Mary was the mother of Jesus. God is the Father of Jesus. Joseph was the husband of Mary after Jesus was born. Joseph was the step-father. He loved Jesus as his own son.

Joseph, Mary's husband was Jesus' step-father. God was his real father. That is why the birth is so miraculous--because Mary was a virgin and had never had sex with a man. Through God's holy spirit, the being who God created first was transferred into Mary's womb to grow and be born as a human.

As the bible tells us, the angel of God came to the virgin Mary, who was promised in marriage to Joseph, and told Mary that she would find herself with child, conceived of the holy spirit. Mary said "how can this be? No man has ever touched me". The angel told her that the holy spirit would "overshadow" her and she would bear a son...Jesus.

Hearing about this, Joseph of course thought Mary had become pregnant by another man, the bible said he sought to "put her away quietly", so as not to publicly disgrace her. But in a dream, Joseph was instructed by God to go ahead and marry her..since the child she carried was conceived by the holy spirit.

Yes, the Jews said to Jesus, "we are children of Abraham, but who your father is, no one knows". (insulting Him). Jesus answered them like this: "if you were children of Abraham, you would hear my voice. But you do not hear my voice because you are of your father, the devil, and you do his works". Hope this helps with your understanding.

Yes Jesus had a father, his name was Joseph, he was betrothed to Mary and had not had sex with her before the angel came to her and told her that she would have a baby that was a gift from God and the savior for our world.

Joseph is the "dummy" earthly father, Mary, his biological mother, and God, his heavenly Father.

Thats why he was conceived by the holy spirit...
