When you're making rice, a good rule to remember is 1 3/4 cups to 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. So if you have 2 cups of rice, you would need between 3 1/2 to 4 cups of water to cook the rice.

Use a rice cooker. put the two cups of white rice in (make sure you rinse the rice off first) then fill the rice cooker with cold water to about 1/4 of an inch above where the rice sits. Let it cook until it is done. Once it is done, do not lift the cover yet! Let it sit for a few minutes. Then it should be good to go!

- Place your rice in a pot that has a lid.
- Wash the rice in cold water then drain. Do this at least 3 times.
- Now measure 4 cups of water and add it to your 2 cups of rice. Remember the ratio is 2/1 (liquid/rice).
- Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium high.
- Once the water starts to boil, place the lid on the pot then turn the heat down to low.
- The rice will be cooked in approx. 20 min after you turned it to low.

Add 4 cups water and a dash of salt to a pot. Get the water boiling, add the rice, cover with a good lid, and turn down the heat to 1 or 2 min. Do not remove the lid. The perfect pot to cook rice in is a visions pot. If you don't have one of those ( it allows you to see when all the liquid is gone...) any pot with a good fitting lid will do. Your rice will be done in about 25 minutes.

Fill your cooking container with the two cups of rinsed rice so that it comes up about 1/4 to 3/4 of the way up the side of the container salt to taste about 1/2 teaspoon. Then, pour in cold water until when you stick your finger in so it just rests on the surface of the rice the water comes up to your first knuckle. you should have approximately equal proportions of rice and water. either put in in the rice cooker and tell it to start or put the lid on the pot and put it on the stove. bring it to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook until the water is absorbed, about 15 minutes. let it rest for at least 5 minutes and then fluff with a giant fork (like a carving fork) or fluff with a pair of chopsticks.

Ha, ha,

OK, boil 2 cups of rice with 4 cups of water (use same cup for water). When it boils for 5 -7 Min's take it from the heat for 2-4 Min's. Put it back on Sim for another 10 Min's, cover it with lid.

If you want rice to be white add lime / lemon juice while boiling(i spoon).

or you can add 1 spoon of cooking oil, it won't stick.

soak them in a little warm water for half an hour... then remove the water totally.

Bring a cooking pot, put three cups of water, and some salt and butter/oil (two spoons) then bring to boil.

add the rice, bring to boil again, then lower the heat to the least possible and cover the pot.

wait 10 minutes before you check on the rice, make sure the water dried out, and stir softly with a fork to make sure.

for every cup of rice 1 cup of water and one for the pot so 2 cups of rice you will need 3 of water. cook in microwave or use the absorb method. or cook it slowly on the stove top stir now and then and to test take up a couple of grains and bite it if its just cooked or almost done depends how long the heat stays in your stove top for turn it off cover with the lid or foil if the pot has no lid and leave it,it should be fine and yummy
