For instance, if someone asks a question, why do 15 other people answer it with the same answer. Its been answered already, whats the point?

it is nice to get numerous answers to a question when you want an opinion just to see how the majority feels.

Actually, I hate duplicating someone else's answer. I'll scroll down and check what answers are already there, and if someone else has said what I would have, I'll move on. Of course if that person makes a small error I may try to clarify, but I usually leave. That is not to say that some one else doesn't post while I am writing my reply. Often I'll be interrupted and have to spend time away, and when I get back and post I'll see a couple of people had the same answer.
I don't care about two points, I could get the same if I answered with a :) The true joy is in sharing what you know.

Well maybe if 10 out of 15 people say the same thing then those are better odds than if you only saw it once. I mean there may be some wrong answers on there to choose from as well.

I never scroll down and read what others answered first. It is fun to see who shares my opinion after I answer. Others may also just want to weigh in with their opinions. Many times it says I'll be the first to answer a question, but either I'm typing too slowly, or giving so much thought that someone else submits before me.

If I see that someone has already given my answer, I pass. No sense in redundancy.

POV. There are many POVs that can help see a situation from different angles. It's also very helpful when they explain why they hold that POV.

well i do not sit here and read what everyone has to say.. so if i say something that someone else already said then that's fine. at least the person will know that more than one person knows the answer
