My daughter has severe eczema on her body and we use to use Lucerne cream and a steroid prescription ointment.... but... we recently found a better solution you might want to try... it has worked wonders for my daughter... It is Aveno cream and lotions.. and bath oatmeal packets... the cream comes with some cortisone ointment.. but if you layer this stuff... it will really help... as for the bath oatmeal.. you can also make your own... by... putting a little oatmeal in a sock and tying it and then placing that in your bath water.. it works the same and is cheaper.... but the Aveno really seems to work where everything else does not.. I have never tried it before.. but now love it for my daughter and myself... :)

i've had eczema for about 5 years. i've tried every kind of medicatin under the sun and nothing worked for me, or it would work for a month or so then it would come back worse than before. i finally have it under control. after you shower, right after you dry off, put on baby oil. not too much, just enough so it soaks into the skin. after that, put a light moisturizer or lotion over it. that locks the oil in and keeps your skin moisturized until you shower again.

don't itch. ever. i know it's hard. but just think, after you itch it, doesn't it feel worse than it did before? and now it's red and burning and horrible. if you have the urge to itch, start doing a project where you involve your hands such as drawing or baking so that you forget about it.

i suggest not going to the doctor for it. they've said it themsleves, there's no cure for eczema. so why bother going and wasting money for something that probably won't work anyway?

also. in the shower, don't use soap. use a moisturizing body wash such as softsoap pure cashmere or softsoap milk and honey.

and finally, hydrocortizone 10 plus works the best at clearing up the really bad spots! it's only like 5 bucks over the counter.

Hi, It could be any kind of dermatitis. I have a similar condition and after visits to 3 docs still don't know if it is atopic eczema, seb dermatitis or contact dermatitis. The only thing that keeps it in check is champori herbal cream for eczema, and I suggest that you should try it too: it is available without prescription and comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn't work for you - it's free. Cheers, Mol

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

I had the same problem for months and months. I used the ointment prescribed from the dr., but it didn't help much. Then I tried Curel Ultra Healing Moisturizing lotion and it worked a mircale on my skin. I was less itchy and the dryness went away too. I know what you are going through..it's a tough one! The sad part is that you have to keep trying diffrent products and eventually one should work.

You can also use Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream or Spray. It's cream/spray derived from organically grown wheatgrass. This product is amazing. Dr. Reynolds invented the product and has been successfully treating this patients since 1995 with these products. As far as allergic reactions go, this product is made from wheatgrass, the same thing that bread is made of. It's also gluten free. I believe it's approved for people of all ages (from infants to adults) because it's a natural product. You can check out his website below for more information and testimonials. I hope this helps you in making an informed decision.

You know how much pain you are in and how terribly uncomfortable you are. When I came across this I had to say wow. A company I am involved with has just put our lotion up against the number one Doctor prescribed lotion on the market Eucerin in a double blind clinical study and found that even after fourteen days of steady use Eucerin didn't improve dry skin as well as our product. In fact Our Product was chosen 9 to 1 over Eucerin. Please let me Know when would be a good time for you to look at the rest of this information.

Take a warm bath with 1/4 cup of Baking Soda in the water. Take a Benadryl and follow it tomorrow with a daily antihistamine like Claritin (Alavert is just fine). Usually my eczema is caused by an allergic reaction. I do MUCH better when I continually take Alavert.
