I have two children (age 7) and one on the way. I would like to construct an organized cleaning schedule for my household to follow. The only problem is that I am not very creative and organized myself. Is there some kind of cleaning plan I can buy or do you have any good reccomendations on how you do it. My house feels so small if it is not kept very clean. Please and thank you for your help.

just make a chart that lists things that need to get done.. like dishes, dusting, picking up toys, etc. you can assign a certain number of tasks to each child, husband, yourself... and give stickers to the kids to mark off what they do... let them each pick out what type of stickers they want to use... hey, if it gets your husband to help too, let him pick his own... you could make the chart on a dry erase board, if you don't feel like having to make a new one every weeks... and write on it in permanent marker the list of chores... and then use the dry erase markers for marking off what has been done so far...

I think you should get your 7 year olds involved in the cleaning and chores....it teaches them good skills for the future!

You should sit down with your kids and ask each of them what their favorite chores are? (dishes, vaccuuming, garbages out, etc.) then make a little calendar that lists the chores to be done for that day!

Along with their "favorite" chores, you should also make sure that they are cleaning their own bedrooms! Here is an example of a "chore list" for a day:

Monday - All garbages taken out, clean bedrooms, sweep floors, vaccuum, etc....

Then make little check boxes next to each chore so that the kids can "check" the boxes as they get their chores done. You could also give them a little allowance for their help around the house to keep the incentive up. Good Luck!!

This is something u can do make a board with some daily household chores on it like trash, dishes, vacen, stuff like that and make a name card with some Velcro and each week give someone a chores and Velcro there name under the chore give them stuff they can do at 7 yrs old and each week change it and as the grow older add more chores to the list and give them more or something like that if they don't like doing chores reward them at the end of the week for doing a great job nothing big though gl

Have you tried those plastic storage things with lids? They come in so many sizes and shapes, you can get them to fit under the bed or house, or stacked in closet space. Mark them so you know what it is before digging in to get your stuff.
