does it make anyone as sick as me that Denver has now almost killed 1000 Pits because of the political power and ignorance of politicians? They have starved newborn puppies because they were Pit pups as well as a mans dog was shot while he was passing through. does this sound like animal cruelty to anyone else.
If you hate Pits then save your comments and move to Denver.

BSL is terrifying! APBT's are my husband's breed, and we do everything we can to educate people here so it doesn't happen to our state. Everybody hold on... It'll be a rough ride, but it will eventaully be seen for the crap that it is! Get in there and voice your opinions and *give facts*. This answer board is a great place to *vent*, but a very poor place to get anything accomplished...

They are being banned all over the Kansas City, area. They are being rounded up and destroyed on the Kansas side and the Missouri side is still discussing. People are so outraged over the recent splurge of horrific maulings and deaths, they can't separate that the dogs in question belonged to owners who they had to track down, as they were criminal types, not loving, responsible pet owners. Some of the dogs were on the loose and some were left in the backyard while they were in jail. They're banned in a KS suburb, but statistics show no pit bull problem, but rather a plethora of small dog bites reported. When you start banning breeds, there's no stopping place. It sure seems to be a lot like racial profiling.

Blame the deed NOT the breed.

This is tantamount to knee jerk politics.

Today it's Pits, yesterday it was Rottie's and my mom tells my before that it was Dobermans. Tomorrow could be my dog or yours.

Being a responsible pet owner/ guardian means you take time to socialize and train your pet. Bad owners can turn any dog mean

I've raised several Pits and none of them ever attacked anyone. They were well trained and most of all, I felt protected in my home. I think it is insane that they are murdering these animals. I definitely feel that it is animal cruelty.

Yes Pits are so under estimated. People need to grow up and realize that any dog can be dangerous.

yes.

today it is pit bulls. tomorrow YOUR breed.

breed-specific bans are insane. hold the owners responsible for the actions of their dogs and suddenly, the dogs will be well trained or the bad owners will be in jail or dog-less.

yes, it is very sick and ignorant, but why would you suggest a pit owner moving to an area with bsl (breed specific legislation). the laws need to be changes first. i would do anything to stay away from ignorant liberal a.s.s.holes.
