Isreal did not attack Lebanon , it attacked Hezbullah ,which hides in Lebanon and fires rockets into Isreal .

Everyone makes mistakes so i forgive you on mispelling Israel. On the question part..... I believe Israel DEFENDED itself against lebanon. Due to the kidnapping of two of its soldiers. Hezbollah is to blame for this whole conflict because, of a lack of goverment control over Hezbollah.

Because the Lebanese political party, Hizballah, attacked Israel and kidnapped 2 of its soldiers.
Hizballah, a Shiite organization, was ordered to do so by Iran, a Shiite theocracy.
