I would recommend it. I've always had fun when I've gone out in Toronto.

The drinking age in Toronto is 19. They do have a smoking ban now. But most bars and clubs allow you to go out and smoke and re-enter without a problem. As for actual places to go there are lots of options between clubs, pubs and lounges. There is a club district - Richmond St. & Adelaide St. That area is loaded with clubs and bars, so you can always hop around in that area.

The legal age in Toronto is 19. It used to be known as Toronto the Good, because it closed everything up on Sundays, but things have changed a great deal since them. Sure -- it would be a great experierce for a group of college kids from America. Lots to see and do outside of the bars. Check out the CN tower as well!

19, and no I'd recommend Montreal (drinking age is 18) because the bars stay open till 3 (1 in Toronto).

You can't smoke in bars in either place anymore, if I'm not mistaken.

Legal drinking age in Canada is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec; 19 elsewhere. No minimum age to drink in private with a parent/guardian. Drinking age is often overlooked if drinking in private settings. Legal drinking age legislation falls under provincial jurisdiction.

I heard it's a great country, so go for it!
