is it showing signs of distress? the cat should be ok. they randomly eat bugs and i dont think they care what kind of bug it is either. mine have eaten grasshoppers, cicadas, butterflies, flies, crickets, junebugs, and probably some i don't know the names of. it should be fine though.

Cats are hunters by nature, praise Kenny for a good catch. Bugs have a lot of protein. This will not be his last catch. My cat eats bugs a lot no harm done. These animals would eat raw meat in the wild. They have great digestive tracts, unless the kitten/cat acts strange within a few minutes to a hour, I would say no harm done. It will literally be out of his system in 24 hours. Tell Kenny happy hunting!

DON"T WORRY! It's OK, it's probably an earwig. Earwigs are usually brownish and resemble silverfish, they have a pincer-like protuberance from their back. They are common in homes. It's ok, they're not poisonous or dangerous. Your cat's gonna live.

Your cat ate an earwig. They're nasty litter buggers that...well you can guess. anyway... I dont think the bug is the problem. What is the problem is that bugs can carry tiny parasites that can eventually affect your cat's health. don't be super worried but you might think about eventually getting him checked for internal parasites.

I am really having a good laugh on this one! Bugs are protein and it will not harm the cat.

I remember my first kittens. When I saw one eat a fly I thought he would surely die.!

I would not worry about it too much..My cat eats flies..She has, since she was a small kitten two yrs ago..she hunts them down and attacks them, its very funny watching her chase a stupid fly all over the house...

And she's in perfect health.

This won't be the last time...just watch it to be sure the cat acts right for a day or so...otherwise a VET trip is needed!!!! Sounds harmless...
