we have been married for 3 years, and she told me that she has been having an affair with a 41 year old doctor for nearly the whole 3 years (my wife is a nurse). i have always been good to her, spend all my $$$ on her and always give her all my attention. why would she leave me for a guy that is as old as her dad? i want an opinion as to why.....

It may be the whole "doctor" thing. A doctor is viewed as a really good catch and a big money maker in professions. She was never worth it if she cheated on you from the start. Plus I've heard that women who date much older men do so because it's a daddy figure thing going on. I've heard that this happens to women when they have lost out on relationships with their own father. You have wasted 3 years on someone who wasn't worth it. It's a hard thing to find out but look at it this way...at least she told you the truth and told you now before 10 years from now when you would've wasted more $ and time on her.

I think you should ask to her, you need to know why right. But this sounds so scandalous, I know this is not what u wanna hear but If she had that affair as long as u have been married for...sounds like she never loved you. You deserve someone who appreciates what u do for her. Good luck

for all unknown reasons and you will probably never know the real reason. sometimes its that they never loved their partners others are greedy for where they think they can get better material items and comforts such as more money. if you know that you did everything right as a good and caring husband you are not at fault. don't feel bad about it you probably did everything right. you will find someone nice again one day believe me there are alot of ppl just like you that have felt like everything has been for nothing. good luck with yr future :)
