It can depend on the type of worm you are talking about but in general, YES.
The worms shed countless numbers of eggs which can be picked up by the other cat.
While the one cat has worms, either separate their litter boxes or treat both cats (otherwise they could spread the infection/infestation back and forth)
Cheers :)

Some worms can be transmitted directly, others require an intermediate host. But generally, no. If several cats test positive at about the same time, it is more likely to be from a common exposure than from each other. Still, treating all of them just on general principles is a good idea.

Depends on the type of parasite that the one cat has. In general, tape worms can't be passed from one animal to another. The only way to get these are from digesting fleas. However, if your cat's have fleas, and the one cat has tapeworms, then your other cat may get them from flea digestion as well. Other types of parasites, such as hookworms or roundworms, can be transmitted from one cat to the other, separate litter boxes or not. You are also prone to infection with these kinds of parasites. If you think that one of your cats has parasites, then take them both in. Your vet's office will do a fecal test on both animals and should let you know what kind of parasite they have, if any.

yes. one cat having them and sharing the litter box with another cat usually means that they both will have worms and will continue to pass them back and forth. so get both treated. a trip to the vet or some over the counter wormer from walmart works. i never could get my cats to take the walmart stuff though so they end up going to the vet for it.
