*Warning* Opinion ahead...

PETA... Well, I don't want to put myself in a bad light here, because I am quite an animal fanatic myself... But, PETA is definitely over-the-top. They demand some of the strangest things sometimes. Like wanting people to rename entire towns because they *might* be offensive to animals... I remember "Fishkill" (which means "Fish River", by the way). They *demanded* it be changed. How this was supposed to make the world safer for critters, I'll never know...

They don't seem to believe in captivity for *any* kind of animal, under *any* circumstances, even if it's too stupid to survive on its own... like domestic farm animals. They are definitely extremists. Another poster called them a "cult", and I won't argue with that, either.

I have trouble associating with an "animal protection" organization that wants only to rid the world of "pets"... It *does* make me wonder what their true motivation is, and I certainly would never trust them with any animal that I cared about...

They are also one of the biggest, nastiest propaganda machines out there... If you read a fact, and see "PETA" anywhere near said fact, run away and forget what you heard! Check many other sources before you believe *anything* they say.

You must take *any* biased opinion with a heaping dose of your own common sense. If it seems "out there" at first glance... it probably is.

PETA is here in beautiful Virginia. I hear you can bring your dog to work with you. They have a dog park too. You don't have to be a vegan to work there, but you can't even eat cheese or drink milk at work there....or even wear wool! The good news is they buy your lunch 3 times a week. Bad news is it is probably sprouts and tofu.

Yes they cry over stupid things, but they do good work too. They just take it to the extreme a little. Part of it is reality...nobody wants to think about animals suffering...and PETA brings all of that to light.

Where I used to work, there was a family of ducks that were confused when they were building an addition. PETA came and rescued the ducks. There heart is in the right place.

I accept as true with num1kizzert, there are some distance too many labels simply by the indisputable fact that's. interior christianity on my own there are too many. I do like what one individual stated "We Christians do not condemn homosexuals. God condemns homosexuality and all who fail to repent of this abominable sin.", yet many followers on the following have pronounced that it is not god that condemns that's ourselves by technique of creating the options that we do and not in any respect beg for forgiveness therefore we are then hellbound. What this poster has pronounced contridicts what different believers have stated, therefore making the talk very uncertain, and somewhat frankly stagnant. i in my opinion do not look after labels. I extremely have considered what people can do less than "non secular labels", and it isn't effective, loving, worrying, tolerant or information. satisfied New year Markyyy :)

I live but a few miles from PETA (Their headquarters are in Norfolk, VA) , they are a terrorist organization lol. Actually there is a joke in this area "People Embarrassing the Tidewater Area". They're more like a cult I think. Actually their working conditions suck, they treat people like crap and have a high turnover. I love animals, and do not like to see them abused. But I also eat meat and they are apposed to that, go figure.

They are some serious nut jobs. They want to give animals more rights than you have. I love animals and I am a strong supporter of animal welfare - I believe animals should be properly cared for.... but I am totally against animals having rights.

Do a search on PETA + Kill + dogs.

I already read your other question and you know how I feel about your opinions. PETA is an extremest group that rescues animals then kills them without bothering to try and re-home them. They feel that no one should be allowed to have even a fish let alone dogs, cats, etc. I agree with them on certain points (nobody should be allowed to have exotic pets like lions and tigers) but on just about every other point I see differently.

They are the animal lovers. They complained about the "Happy Cows" commercials from Real California Cheese. They are slightly over-zealous. I love animals, don't get me wrong, but I also love a good steak too.

They came to my town to protest the circus. A local radio station had an anti protest and gave away free hot dogs!
Check out this website and you will get an idea of what state of mind they are in

They are animal defenders...Oh ya, and occasionally terrorists or terrorist supporters. Sometimes they do really stupid things, like letting lots of domestic mink go free to starve when they can't find their convenient pellet food.

Anyway, they generally encourage vegetarianism and don't think that just because cows are dumb and delicious we have any right to eat them.

They love animals, even though a lot of them do eat beeef and chicken. I'd really hate them except Bob Barker is a member
