Your girlfriends purse is falling apart, and you find a used purse of your ex wife that has been in a storage closet for 4 years. then, you try to give it to your girlfriend, whom you live with, and she gets very very pissed. now, guys, would you even think of giving this used purse to your girlfriend?? why or why not?

I am just asking because this happened to me and I want to see how many guys out there can give me an answer.

No I would not give a used purse especially one that was my ex's to my girlfriend. By the way, you are beautiful!

it depends actually. did he origionally pay for the purse? if it was a big screen tv in this situation or a car, would you even be thinking this or would you be happy you have it rather than someone else. if it was something cheap to begin with its still the thought that counts. we guys sometimes forget especially after four years. only someting really special like jewelry thats given from the heart wouldn't be acceptable. but all else just b happy you have it and not someone else. don't be greedy if you don't have money and live with what you can get and be happy. hope this gives you perspective

The first question is did he leave his wife for you? The second question is if he is living with you before you are married, do you think he respects you anyway? He is getting what he wants, a girl in bed with him. Why do you think he would go out of his way for a purse? I think it is time to reevaluate what you should be angry at.

hmmmmm, a used purse, normally i don't keep anything that belongs to my ex, but then again considering that you are short on cash then at least he did try to do something within his means, if you are so short on cash that he can't afford to go to the store and buy a $20 purse then i really feel sorry for the both of you especially for him being stuck with a superficial money grubbing chick that wants things bought for her constantly, but then again if he did have some spare change but didn't feel like wasting it on getting you a new purse then i say drop the looser

if y'all are short on cash, then it's a sweet gesture. however, why has he had his ex-wife's purse in storage for 4 years? i don't care if it's coach, burberry, lv, etc. that should've been ****-canned years ago. me personally, i would've gone out and bought a temporary replacement purse until i could afford something nice...but that's me.

Why would your bf even have that old purse? If I break up with a girl and she doesn't come get all her stuff within a week or two, it goes in the trash

i live with my g/f and would only do that for 2 circumstances: i told here i was the ex's and she didn't really care and really needed a purse. and 2 if i gave it to her just to poo in, and then give it back to the EX

I usually don't like to mix red apples with green ones...So no I wouldn't ; It would bring memories connected with my ex and I like to leave the past where it belongs ...Behind me!

No. As guys we are practical, not sensitive. It takes training to be that sensitive. We don't look at the sentimental value (or distian) for objects, we look at the utility value.

No, that's just idiotic. You get rid of things like that after the break up or divorce esp. when you're living with another person.
