First of all, I am apalled that someone on here just told you that incest is not wrong, and then proceeded to compare the mating rituals of baboons to human beings.It's people like these that need to be seriously educated, and you should be too, obviously, if you even have to ask. Incest is defined as sexual relations between close family members, and is not only illegal, it's just sick and wrong. Have your parents taught you anything at all? WHY on earth would you want to get involved with a family member? Not only would your friends and other relatives disown you, but if u and this other person were to have kids together, they would suffer from serious birth defects. Incest is terribly wrong. Please don't even think about it. In the Bible it says it is wrong. If it has happened to you, don't let it happen again. If a parent is commiting incest with the child, that child need to get help from some social worker. So if you are a child of incest, tell someone right away. Go seek help !!

I think incest is very wrong. Usually one of the people involved has some sort of power or authority over the other. This doesn't make for a free relationship.

Why do people, when the incest word is heard, automatically think of child molestation? What would you think if it was two consenting adults? Everyone says incest is wrong, but nobody can say why. The arguments of "Gross!", "You need help, sicko.", "You must be from the South."...etc, is not a successful argument. People are solely basing your opinions on ancient folklore. There is no research on incest between consenting adults. And you can't use the deformity argument. There are deformity risks from every type of union. Jerry Lewis has a telethons every Labor Day weekend, and those kids are not from an incestuous union.
So throwing out the folklore arguments, tell me why love between any 2 consenting adults is wrong. This is the 21th century. We are still a closed minded society. If we don't understand it, we hate it. And this is wrong. Most gays and lesbians are still in the closet out of fear from society.
What goes on between 2 consenting adults behind closed doors is no one else's business. Not the neighbors. Not the government. And not even the people who ask and answers the questions on this site. What goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults doesn't affect any of us.

No. It's relative and not absolute.

Any thinking person will see that humans are animals. There are numerous historical records showing incest as a common occurrence with humans. Bonbons frequently have sex with their parents.

However, I personally think that in modern western countries incest is relatively wrong due to the social problems it may cause.

I hope that you are not violating a young child. IF you are, please get help. If it is a cousin then you both need help. But this world is so big and there is so many people out there looking for love from someone so go out side of the family to meet your needs. Yes it's wrong. But why do ask. By your other questions you might be about 12 or so. If it's happening to you or some else that is under 18 years old that is not only wrong but against the law. tell someone if it is happening to you or someone you know.
