Okay... Here's what I would do. Try to figure up what you spent on the litter. That includes vet appointments for Mom and the puppies, equipment, cleaning supplies, etc. Take that number and divide it by 12. (Ha! I had to divide my latest litter by two!) Then, add on a bit for each puppy for your time and hard work... See what you come up with. It' should be a good base-line.
You can't charge pure-bred price for these, because they just aren't, with that Lab mixed in there... Color doesn't matter much with "mutts". But you are right! If you charge too little, you will find yourself bombarded by people likely to be involved with fighting, mills, and/or animal testing labs. (If you would like, I can provide you with a list of things to look for in someone that might be interested in a "fighting" dog...)
I would never sell the puppies for less than $50-$100. Any less than that, and you are asking for trouble. However, you may find it very difficult to find homes for all of them unless you are very proficient with running ads and screening buyers. That's a lot of puppies! If you get to the end, and absolutely *have to* give some up, make sure to go through an APBT Rescue organization, rather than a shelter, to find homes for them. (The market is flooded with APBTs right now, and they are getting harder and harder to sell.) They pre-screen all of their potential clients and make sure that the puppies go to wonderful homes...
I wish you the best of luck, and I am glad that your female got through it okay... That's *a lot* to haul around for two months! I'm glad to hear she'll be on the way to the vet soon! It's better for her (and you) in the long run!

Lol, real pit bull lovers don't care about color. Blue's are only the fad among people using the dogs to make themselves look cool. (don't get me wrong, blues are pretty but temperment is more important.)
Also, if the parents have excellent normal pit bull temperment then they should not be good guard dogs. Pits should not be wary of people at all. They should be so human friendly that they will help a robber carry the stolen goods out of the house (unless they are too busy licking them that is).
Finally, you NEED to screen homes. There is no price you can set on pits that will guarentee a good home. You ought to see what people do to their 90 lb blue hippos that they pay a grand for. I've heard the stories from people who have seen it firsthand. You DO have a difficult job ahead of you. The breed is in a terrible state at the moment and it's difficult to find a half-way decent home for them. Most people want pits for all the wrong reasons and you will have to turn away the majority of people who inquire about your pups. I'm relieved to see that you realize what a mistake you have made. But you need to be responsible and make absolute certain these little lives are going to good homes. Also, PLEASE make sure the pups get spayed and neutered. Maybe have it done before they go to their new homes or have them sign a contract and give them a significant refund ($100 or more) when you have proof of speutering.
Normally I would not buy a puppy from a breeding like this. BUT since it was accidental and you aren't trying to make money I would purchase one from you if I was looking for one. I am a big advocate of rescue. I would pay $50 to $150 and would not care about a refund for speutering because I would do that without a doubt anyways. But you need to make absolute certain that your buyers are going to speuter them too.
Maybe you could contact a pit bull rescue for help in placing your puppies into responsible homes. Here is a good place for you to start: http://www.pbrc.net/home.html
Finally, good luck in homing your pups! Hope you spay the momma soon!

Honestly, you should talk to a shelter or adoption organization about this. Maybe seeing all the work they do, and the wonderful animals they have to euthanize because of idiots like you who allow mixed breed/non-breeding quality dogs to breed.
Dad may be show quality, but has he earned anything in the ring? Mom is mixed, so nothing in her pedigree says she had to have these puppies.
Don't get me wrong, I love all mixes, I actually prefer them. But I do not think that allowing them to breed, then wonder how much profit you can or can't make, is an ethical thing.
It would be great if you could get off your keester, get both parents fixed, and have the puppies adopted to people who sign a Legal Contract to have them fixed as well. Even better, get the puppies neutered befroe they leave your home.
Better yet, get involved with a local animal shelter, look into the eyes of animals waiting to die, and justify to yourself why your puppies' puppies will end up like this.
Inresponse to your lovely email: The ***** is mixed breed, she should have been spayed before she went into heat. Even though it was an accident (yes, I read the whole post), she could have still been spayed.
If you are so busy, why bother having dogs and puppies?

i know you may need the money but i dont think it should be ur major concern when finding a new owner, most important is to find a suitable owner, one who has time, space, suitable family and lfestyle and possibly even dog experience previously would be good too. whats best for dog is most important. i have a staffie/ lab cross dog nearly a year old now, a lovely little thing , i had reservations and worries about the staffie part at first but she is a total softie , a bit of a nutter like all dogs but she is great . im sure this little one of urs is too, u could try to keep her, u sound attatched to her, then try rehome if it doesnt work. my dog had one litter mate and that dog was put down at a few months age cos the new owners couldnt deal with chewing and peeing in the house, so it is important that u can find the right person to take the pup if u cant keep him

Well, We know first off that Alot of people buy pit bull puppys just for FIGHTING Them!! And thats sad!! So don't sell them cheap!! I know its not about the money but its about the puppys isn't it?? A good Home!! well if you sell them cheap then they will most likely go to a poor home, someone that will abuse them by using them for fighting other dogs with.... So you sell them for what price they are going for in your area, or look on the internet and look up pits and see what other people are selling them for!! You don't have to match the same price but close to it!! This will give you an ideal of what they sell for and you decide a good price. If someone is willing to pay more for a dog, then most likely they are going to take care of the dog!!! They aren't going to spend money on a dog and not take care of it, especaially if its in the hundereds!!! You shouldn't sell them to just anyone!! Pits get treated badly by some people and they are misunderstood dogs! If i had those pups i would watch out to who i sold them too, only good owners and not breeders who just want to breed a dog to death!! When you notice everybody wants a girl then you know they just want to breed that girl dog!!! most likely!! cause most want a male! So be careful for the puppys sake if you love your dog!!

Pretty picky for someone who did not do anything to prevent this litter. Your dogs pedigree means nothing when you have mutts. which is what you have. I say that if you really cared you would have spayed the dog. What does it matter what you sell them for. not in it for money then give them away if you cared so much. I have had a registered English bulldog given to me from a breeder because the dog needed a good home. This was a $1500.00 dog at least. SO do not tell me your not in it for money. give them away then.

Hey I sell Pits here in North Carolina. Only mine do not have papers. I sell mine for $150males and $200females. If they are going to fight them you will know it and most the time they don't want to pay that much unless they are real GAME dogs. I also do a lot of my posting on the net like free ads. That way not many fighter have the web , you know. But anyways You can tell if they want the dog for GAME or not. Most of mine got sold to familes. The kids and parents came out to pick their dog. Good Luck!!

Give them for adoption to someone who loves dogs and will take good care of them. Why do you wanna make money out of this? What is wrong with people, everything they do they want to make profit, can't you do something for free, just to please others and not your self? Shame on you.
