if your boyfriend, who is normally very loving and affectionate, wanted you to act like you were "just friends" when his brother came over?

He might be too immature to show that he's in a relationship that he has nothing to be scared of or ashamed of. And I know it must sound hard, but maybe he's just ashamed of you or something. Either, ask him as that is the only way to truly find out what's going on in his head. If he cant grow up, then honey, it's his loss, not yours.
Good luck!

Honestly I dont think I could handle that because to me if he wants to act affectionate only when you guys are together, then to me thats fake. I dont think there should be a reason for anyine to act like that if it was me I dont think the relationship would have last very long. Wh yshould it matter what people think of your relationship and thay you feel about eachother.

I'd be very angry & ask him what the hell was going on.
It sounds like he doesn't want his brother (for whatever reason) to know you're together. He should NEVER hide your relationship from anyone.

Talk to him about it, but if I were you, I'd consider leaving. That's just screwed up.

his @§§ would be grass, if he cant show the same amount of love to you in front of his family as he can in public than he needs to come to grips with himself and the fact that no matter what his family will always love him, whereas you can easily say "good bye"

I would talk to him, and ask him why he was doing that. If he ignores it or shrugs it off, I would threaten to dump him. If he still doesn't comply, I would dump the sorry loser.

I'd be confused and ask him why are you trying to hide something?
