I work for a really good company that pays well and looks awesome on my resume. But I'm not having fun, it's horrendously stressful, and it's starting to take a toll on me physically, mentally, and personally. I just started a year ago and thought this was going to be the chance of my lifetime, but the deadlines I have to meet are very hard to meet and since i'm committed, i sacrafice alot of my spare time at home to do work. I'm 23 and an engineer. I don't want to quit but I'm afraid if I do I won't find a job. What should I do?

Maybe you should ask yourself if you would rather get paid well and get burned out (and you will) or get a job you love and possibly take a pay cut. From one engineer to another, I would rather have a job where I get to have fun...the longer you stay, the harder it will be to leave. Best way to get a new job: utlize a network...someone you know may have a friend who works at a company looking for someone like you...you're young...you're trainable...lots of companies need engineers, all you have to do is look. (never quit until a contract is signed with another company...you could find yourself quite jobless otherwise).

It depends that u want money or health,if u have enough confidence to face the stress ,u can keep it.U know in some contry people also work 7 days a week, and maybe 12 hours a day.Specially they become bosses. I don't think it is good for your health but i do think it is good to train u to become a sucessful people. So my idea is for your health u quit the job ,for your future you can keep it for one or two years.

Start looking now. When you've found that better job, give your notice and quit. Try Monster.com or some of the other similar services. Good luck.

call an agency and see if they can find you another job. the longer you stay the longer you are wearing your self out. while you are still young your chances are excellent on finding a better job. there are engineering jobs out there that are suited for you. with a degree you can get it. the soon the better.

Find a new job before you quit your old one. Submit your resume to a head hunter so they can search for a job for you while you're still at your current job.

Do what makes you happy. I would not stay with a job I didn't like. However, make sure you have another job before quitting this one.

Line up another job and get the H ell out of your present one. Life is too short to endure crummy employment.
Good luck.
